Here is checklist of how to setup blog at powweb:
- Go to wordpress.org, and download the latest version of blog script.
- Create a new database through powweb control panel, and add a new user to this mysql database. Assign it with full dba privelage will be just fine.
- Unzip the wordpress script .zip, and look for “wp-config.php”, open this file with notepad, and change the mysql database connection parametre. Enter the database name, username, and password.
- Upload this whole wordpress blog folder to server through FTP client.
- Once done, you go to your website: http://www.yourdomain.com/
- The wordpress installer will be seen. If there is error, change the wp-config.php and upload to server again.
- Once you get the installer screen, follow the short prompt, and your installation will complete when you receive the login info at your email.
- Login to your wordpress blog, and make the blog customization and start make posting.
